                         demanda crescente diante dos impactos antr{\'o}picos sobre o meio 
                         ambiente. O objetivo deste estudo foi elaborar uma metodologia 
                         para prioriza{\c{c}}{\~a}o de {\'a}reas para 
                         regenera{\c{c}}{\~a}o natural assistida na Amaz{\^o}nia. A 
                         {\'a}rea de estudo compreende {\'a}reas de 
                         preserva{\c{c}}{\~a}o permanente degradadas (APPDs) em 
                         im{\'o}veis rurais da agricultura familiar nos 
                         munic{\'{\i}}pios de Alta Floresta, Cotrigua{\c{c}}u, Nova 
                         Bandeirantes, Nova Monte Verde e Parana{\'{\i}}ta, em Mato 
                         Grosso. Foram utilizadas bases de dados fornecidas pelo ICV e WRI 
                         Brasil. Nenhum munic{\'{\i}}pio apresentou APPDs com potencial 
                         baixo, 50% apresentaram potencial m{\'e}dio e outros 50% das 
                         {\'a}reas apresentaram potencial alto ou muito alto de 
                         regenera{\c{c}}{\~a}o natural. Al{\'e}m das vari{\'a}veis 
                         biof{\'{\i}}sicas, fatores como banco de sementes e 
                         hist{\'o}rico de uso podem influenciar no sucesso da 
                         regenera{\c{c}}{\~a}o natural. A metodologia apresentou 
                         potencial para auxiliar na tomada de decis{\~a}o quanto a 
                         prioriza{\c{c}}{\~a}o de {\'a}reas para a{\c{c}}{\~o}es de 
                         restaura{\c{c}}{\~a}o pelo m{\'e}todo de 
                         regenera{\c{c}}{\~a}o natural assistida. ABSTRACT: Large-scale 
                         forest restoration is a growing demand in the face of human 
                         impacts on the environment. This study aimed to develop a 
                         methodology for prioritizing areas for assisted natural 
                         regeneration in the Amazon. The study area comprises degraded 
                         permanent preservation areas (APPDs) in rural properties of family 
                         farming in the municipalities of Alta Floresta, Cotrigua{\c{c}}u, 
                         Nova Bandeirantes, Nova Monte Verde and Parana{\'{\i}}ta, in 
                         Mato Grosso. The databases used were provided by ICV and WRI 
                         Brasil. Among the results, no municipality presented APPDs with 
                         low potential, 50% presented medium potential and another 50% of 
                         the areas presented high or very high potential for natural 
                         regeneration. In addition to biophysical variables, factors such 
                         as seed bank and use history can influence the success of natural 
                         regeneration. The methodology presented potential to help in 
                         decision making regarding the prioritization of areas for 
                         restoration actions by the assisted natural regeneration method.",
